View from the Caribbean (Bob,V26DX)
I used the V26DX contest site at the Royal Antiguan Hotel this year.
The
antennas are at 33m, for HF the Optibeam
OB12-6 and
slopers for 80 (and
160m). I used the K2/100.
Great set
up
- very low static
this
year on 80
but as the HF antenna
was
fixed on
Western Europe it
rather
limited the
potential score. Unfortunately this station has been dismantled but the other V26
station , used by Gavin GM0GAV and Nigel G3TXF is still
available
